Debra Lafave, Teacher-Turned-Sex-Offender, to Spend Final Three Months on Probation
Debra Lafave, the 27-year-old former middle school teacher who had been arrested for having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old student, will now get to spend the final three months of house arrest on probation.
Lafave was scheduled for another three months of house arrest then another seven years of probation but a Tampa, FL judge ruled she could serve the final three months on probation.
In 2005 Lafave was arrested for her relationship with a student and sentenced to three years house arrest. In January Lafave was ruled to have violated her probation after having contact with an underage female co-worker but it was determined that the act wasn’t enough to warrant jail time.
