Juno director Jason Reitman will join a number of celebrities to blog for the NHL about their love for hockey. The blogs will be available on NHL.com.
Reitman, the son of famed Hollywood director Ivan Reitman, has directed commercials for the National Hockey League and has served on its entertainment advisory board.
Reitman, a native Canadian, grew up in Los Angeles and is a die-hard fan of the Los Angeles Kings and Vancouver Canucks, neither of which made the playoffs this year, much to Reitman's chagrin.
Reitman, who began his film career as an extra in various movies directed by father Ivan, became a much bigger name after the success of Juno, which was written by Diablo Coby and starred Ellen Page.
Reitman is one of a dozen celebrities who will start blogging on Wednesday and follow their favorite teams through the Stanley Cup playoffs. Other celebrities who will blog include "The Hills" star Lauren Conrad, country music star Dierks Bentley and Hollywood director Kevin Smith.
This is the second year that stars from movies, music and television bring their love of hockey into blogging.
