Victoria Lindsay, Teen in “YouTube Attack,” to be Homeschooled

Victoria Lindsay is still recovering from the physical injuries she suffered in a brutal attack launched and filmed by a group of teenage girls. While the physical injuries may heal it may take much longer for the damage to Lindsay’s psyche to be repaired.

The 16-year-old who had been attending Mulberry High School has pulled herself from the school and will continue her studies at home. Her decision stems from an almost unbelievable assault that was filmed and then placed on YouTube by the attackers.

Lindsay is still having trouble with her hearing and vision since the beating that took place on March 30.

Seven of the eight charged in the attack remain held in detention.  Mercades Nichols, 17, Brittini Hardcastle, 17, and Britney Mayes, 17, face charges of felonious battery, false imprisonment and kidnapping while Cara Murphy, 16, Kayla Hassell, 15, April Cooper, 14, Zachary Ashley, 17, and Stephen Schumaker, 18, face charges of felonious battery and false imprisonment.  Both Zachary Ashley and Stephen Schumaker acted as lookouts while the six girls beat Lindsay inside a house.
