Vanilla Ice Arrested for Simple Battery

Robert Van Winkle, AKA Vanilla Ice, was arrested on Thursday night after the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office received a phone call from Winkle’s wife who reported being kicked and punched by her husband.  When the police arrived the wife admitted to lying about being kicked, but did claim that she was pushed into a wall.  Winkle denied ever pushing his wife.

The 39 year old rapper is currently being held without bond.  In 2001 he previously spent a night in jail following a domestic dispute.

Vanilla Ice is best known for his hit single, “Ice Ice Baby,” released in 1990.  The single sold 15 million copies.
