Yu Bohuai, the general manager of a Shanghai chemical company, was sentenced to two years in prison on Thursday for allegedly selling tablets of the male impotence drug, Viagra According to a Xinhua news agency, the man sold the fake Viagra over the internet. Bohuai made over 60,000 yaun, $8,585, between 2006 and 2007 by selling 14,030 tablets to clients in Shanghai.
Bohuai was arrested in July.
Marketed by Pfizer (NYSE:PFE), Viagra was approved to treat impotence in 1998 by the US Food and Drug Administration.
