Holistic drug rehab takes on new shape at Connecticut drug addiction treatment facility
Connecticut drug addiction treatment facility offers new holistic drug rehab model
Throughout the years many drug rehab facilities have attempted to re-invent the standard of care within the addiction treatment field, hoping to find a more innovative, effective treatment method than previously utilized.
Over ten years ago, a new model for drug and alcoholism treatment emerged, combining the most effective treatment methods of the past with more individualized options. The marriage of the two proved to be such a success that it became the new treatment model for drug rehabs globally. As time progressed, it became evident that this model needed to evolve into an even more effective treatment method. Thus, the Integrated Care Model™, a holistic drug rehab model, was born.
“The past decade has been a decade of re-invention within the addiction treatment field,” said a spokesperson for Mountainside Drug Rehab and Alcohol Treatment Center. “Our original holistic drug rehab model, which we’ve utilized since our program’s beginnings, became the basis for the evolution of new-found discoveries for our addiction treatment offerings at Mountainside. We still offer the same individualized treatment options to our clients such as individual counseling, group therapy, guided mediation, Tai Chi and adventure-based initiatives. However, with our new Integrated Care Model™, we are able to integrate the case management of an individual into their treatment plan, resulting in an even more holistic, human approach to drug addiction treatment. We debuted this new model in May at the 2010 NAATP Treatment Conference, and the reception by our peers within the addiction treatment field was positive and exciting. We believe that our new model will, once again, revolutionize the drug rehab field and allow even more long-term sobriety success for individuals, worldwide.”
For more than 12 years, Mountainside Drug Rehab and Alcohol Treatment Center has led the way in offering an individualized alcohol and drug addiction treatment program.
Mountainside’s treatment team is committed to providing quality, compassionate care to each individual in a tranquil, peaceful environment conducive to optimal recovery. The program won national attention and resulted in Mountainside being invited to Washington to meet with the White House Drug Czar, John P. Walters, who wanted to learn more about the innovative program offered at Mountainside.
In addition to its licensed and certified counselors and social workers, Mountainside provides medical services through an on-staff Nurse Practitioner and a Registered Nurse with specializations in drug addiction and alcohol treatment. Psychiatric services are available when needed.
