Miss Texas Crystle Stewart Crowned Miss USA

Crystle Stewart became the eighth Texan to be crowned Miss USA on Friday night as the 26-year-old was fitted with the tiara by Miss USA 2007 Rachel Smith at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

Stewart, a consumer science and merchandising student at the University of Houston, beat first runner-up Miss Mississippi Leah Laviano and Miss New Jersey Tiffany Andrade.
