Teens Accused in Beating of Victoria Lindsay Have Bail Set

The eight Florida teenagers being held in connection to the shocking beating of Victoria Lindsay went before a judge on Friday and had their bail set at $30,000.

Each of the teenagers will be charged as adults for an attack that was stunning in its brutality. Lindsay found herself ambushed by six teenaged girls inside the home of a friend while two teenaged males remained outside keeping watch.

Video of the attack was then posted on YouTube and quickly became the focal point for authorities when filing charges. Lindsay suffered serious damage to her hearing and vision and has since removed herself from Mulberry High School to be home schooled.

Mercades Nichols, 17, Britney Mayes, 17, and Brittini Hardcastle, 17, are all being charged with felonious battery, as well as kidnapping and false imprisonment.

Cara Murphy, 16, Kayla Hassell, 15, April Cooper, 14, Zachary Ashley, 17, and Stephen Schumaker, 18, face charges of felonious battery as well as false imprisonment.
