Wimbledon 2010 Finals Results: Serena Williams Captures Fourth Title at All England Club with Staright Set Win Over Vera Zvonareva
Serena Williams had little trouble collecting her fourth career Wimbledon title and her 13th career Grand Slam single title after blowing past Vera Zvonareva in straight sets on Saturday 6-3, 6-2 at the All England Club.
Serena was just too much for Zvonareva as she used a dominant first serve to control the match. That first serve produced points on 94% of her offerings and she never faced a break point in the match. Williams also finished with 29 winners compared to just nine from Zvonareva.
Williams has achieved a career Grand Slam with five wins at the Australian Open (2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010), three titles at the U.S. Open (1999, 2002, 2008), four at Wimbledon (2002, 2003, 2009, 2010) and a French Open title (2002).
