Parents of summer camp participants at SuperCamp’s academic summer camp say that the summer program is a great investment in the future. Whether their son or daughter is a straight-A student, struggling in some subjects, or simply not motivated to perform to his or her full potential, the consensus among parents is the same – you’ll be glad you sent your child to SuperCamp.
SuperCamp grad parent, Andrea Glenn says, "My daughter attended SuperCamp at Stanford this summer and to say she enjoyed it would be the understatement of the year. She's always been a great student and daughter, but this was a life-changing event for her. She has just written her first English essay as a freshman and, of course, it is about SuperCamp. Keep up the good work! It is much appreciated by parents and students! Her siblings will soon be SuperCampers, too."
Her sentiments are echoed by Ed Morrissey. "This was the best money I have ever spent on a camp. My daughter was exposed to life skills that some adults take years to acquire. She matured and her perception of the world around her expanded to new depths - Excellent exposure to new topics."
Parents of kids who weren’t doing so well in school feel the same way. One mother says,
"My son never seemed interested in getting good grades. When he did homework he did not bother to turn it in. He had high A's in tests but zeros in homework. After SuperCamp he has not missed a single assignment. SuperCamp was worth every penny we spent."
Another couple who sent their son to SuperCamp agrees. "A decision well worth making. We have seen remarkable improvements in our son's confidence, social skills and study skills as well as motivation."
Based on accelerated learning principles, SuperCamp is a multi-sensory experience using colors, music, and other sounds, as well as interactive feedback to stimulate the learning process and long-term retention. Campers from grades 4 through high school learn pertinent academic skills in the areas of critical thinking, creative writing, reading comprehension, reading speed, study and test-taking techniques and much more.
Interspersed among the learning skills is instruction in the life skills area. Students gain insight into communication, team building, motivation, trust, leadership and other important life skills that help them in school and in relationships with friends and family.
The great thing about SuperCamp is that the kids who attend learn while having fun. The dynamic, engaging SuperCamp facilitators and team leaders keep the days and evenings alive with learning and breakthrough moments for the campers. By the end of the 10-day program, the kids can’t wait to come back next summer for more.
SuperCamp is held at eight U.S. colleges across the U.S. There are four age-specific programs for students entering grades 4-5, 6-8, 9-12 and college. Camps fill up very early, so parents looking at summer camp options for their kids are urged to visit SuperCamp’s website at http://www.supercamp.com/ now and call their toll-free number, 800-285-3276, to enroll in the camp of their choice.
