18 year old Natasha Farnham has been drinking since she was 12. By the time she turned 13 she was drinking six bottles of wine a day. A year after that the young girl was taken to a hospital after she consumed 16 bottles of wine, hard cider and other alcoholic beverages within three days. Even after that, she refused to give up her habit.
Farnham now suffers permanent memory loss, according to London’s Daily Mail. She is currently in rehab and is now taking daily medication to treat her failing liver.
“I didn’t think my drinking was a problem because all my friends were getting wasted every weekend as wel,” she says. “But now I have no short term memory and doctors warn me that if I drink anymore I will die.”
Farnham dropped out of school when she was 14 and is currently unemployed. She hopes that her story will help discourage other teens from drinking.
