Nearly 100 Dead as Plane Crashes in Populated Neighborhood in Congo
A Hew Bora Airways DC-9 fell from the sky shortly after departing from the Goma airport in the Democratic Republic of Congo and crashed into a populated neighborhood killing at least 83 passengers and crew and possibly more on the ground.
The flight was scheduled to arrive in Kinshasa but barely made it off the runaway in Goma before it experienced difficulties and crashed.
Early reports have indicated at least ten passengers survived after being pulled from the wreckage.
