Direct Mail temporary insanity may be good for you

The owner of PostcardMania, Joy Gendusa, has decided to slash her printing prices in light of economic slump — a first in the history of the company.

PostcardMania executives met yesterday, afraid that their CEO, Joy Gendusa may have lost her mind.  Gendusa claims she is not insane, only trying to help the economy.  She is slashing her prices 25% for one reason only: because she says she’s passionate about helping entrepreneurs flourish and prosper.

Unfortunately business owners are in a "worry mode" due to the economic condition of the nation and are cutting back on their marketing.  PostcardMania has been saying for years that this is the WORST thing any company could do in a near-recession period.  So to help boost to the economic climate they are running with Gendusa’s orders and cutting their printing prices for 5,000 postcards to $299 from $389.

PostcardMania’s President, Jennifer Custer, reported that Gendusa could snap out of it any minute.  “We’ve never done this before,” Custer said.  “I don’t know how long she will do this crazy new pricing structure.”  Custer goes on to say that with the rising prices of paper and the employee benefits that Gendusa has added on, the only way Joy can justify it is if she takes the money from her own pockets.

PostcardMania is still, so far, the only postcard marketing company to offer terms — same-as-cash financing that allows business owners to pull in income from their marketing efforts before they have to pay for their campaigns.  Gendusa says she wants business owners to defy the every-day headline news of doom and gloom and turn the slump around.

“I challenge businesses to quit agreeing with the impending doom,” Gendusa says.  “Promote — or your competitors that do will take your customers away from you.”
