2010 Wimbledon Finals Results: Rafael Nadal Captures Eight Career Grand Slam Singles Title with Win Over Tomas Berdych

Rafael Nadal completed his return to Wimbledon with a straight set victory over Tomas Berdych in Sunday’s finals, capturing his second title at the All England Club and his eighth career Grand Slam singles title.

Nadal and Berdych were evenly matched but it was the Spaniard who took advantage of his opportunities as he collected four break points in six chances while Berdych failed to collect a single break. Nadal managed to collect points on a solid 77% of his first serves put in play and 64% of his second serves.

Nadal has eight career Grand Slam singles titles with two of those titles coming at Wimbledon. The Spaniard has also collected five French open titles along with an Australian Open title, leaving only the U.S. Open as the only Grand Slam event the 24-year-old hasn’t captured.
