Israel Responds to Hamas Attack with Deadly Airstrike on Gaza Strip

Israel responded to a Hamas Attack that killed three soldiers with an airstrike on the Gaza Strip that claimed the lives of 11 Palestinians on Wednesday.

Israel said they were targeting gunmen in the airstrike yet Hamas reported that the majority killed were civilians.

The airstrike was in response to a Hamas attack earlier in the day in which gunmen approached the security fence near the Nahal Oz crossing. The gunmen were spotted planting a bomb and when Israeli soldiers pursued the men they were ambushed by a second group of Hamas gunmen.
