John McCain Gets Invite to Take a Shot During Hardball College Tour

John McCain was taking part in the Chris Matthews Hardball College Tour when he was hit with an interesting question and invite from one of the students attending Villanova University.

The student, Peter Doocy, son of 11-time Emmy Award winning television personality and FOX and Friends morning co-anchor Steve Doocy, caught McCain off guard with his comment and then proposition.

Taking advantage of Hilary Clinton’s highly covered “shot and a beer” at a pub in Pennsylvania the younger Doocy asked McCain if he thought the campaign had driven Clinton to the sauce. The junior political science major then followed the question by extending an invitation to McCain to join him for a shot.

McCain kept a light-hearted approach to the question and seemed to laugh his way through his response.
