Colorado Wildfires Leaves 3 Dead

Wildfires in Ordway, Colorado forced hundreds of residents out of their homes and left 3 people dead. The fire had spread across 8,900 acres and damaged 24 buildings.

The blaze is responsible for the deaths of two volunteer firefighters. The men were crossing a bridge damaged by the fire when it suddenly collapsed under the weight of the fire truck.

A pilot was killed when his firefighting plane crashed near Fort Carson.

Firefighters hope rising humidity and dying winds will help the fires slow down. Rain and snow is also possible in the area, according to the National Weather Service.
