High School Student Shot and Killed by Police Officer
A high school student in Fresno, California was shot and killed by a police officer on Wednesday after the 17-year-old attacked the officer with a baseball bat.
According to Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer the Roosevelt High School student struck the officer in the back of the head with the bat. The officer fell but was able to grab his gun from his ankle holster and fired a shot at the student.
Roosevelt High School was placed on lockdown and students were allowed to leave as their parents arrived.
