Tom Cruise and David Beckham have discussed buying a soccer team together, according to reports Thursday.
Cruise nor Beckham have detailed whether the team will be in Europe or the U.S.
"David has often spoken of his desire to concentrate on his youth football academies rather than a career in management when he retires from the game," said a source to the Daily Express.
"Perhaps a high profile soccer venture with a Hollywood superstar would also give him back some of the credibility he surely feels he lost after leaving prestigious Real Madrid for a megabucks deal in the US," continued the source.
Beckham left Real Madrid for the United States to play for Major League Soccer's Los Angeles Galaxy. The deal with Galaxy was reportedly worth $250 million (£126 million).
Ironically, it was reported that Cruise wanted wife Katie Holmes to stay away from Victoria Beckham, David's wife. Holmes reportedly is in the process of filing for a trial separation from Cruise this week.
