United Airlines Kicks Praying Passenger off Flight

A United Airlines flight attendant had a passenger removed from a Wednesday night flight to San Francisco after the man refused to return to his seat because he was in the middle of his prayers.

The Orthodox Jewish man had left his seat prior to the planes departure from John F. Kennedy Airport in New York and began saying his prayers.  A flight attendant asked the man to return to his seat but two friends of the passenger told the attendant he couldn’t stop in the middle of his prayers and he would be finished in a few minutes.

After finishing his prayers the man apologized to the attendant and explained he wasn’t trying to be rude but he couldn’t stop his religious rituals. That wasn’t enough for the flight attendants who then requested a guard remove the man from the flight.

United Airlines placed the man on a flight Thursday morning.
