HolidayLEDs.com, an e-commerce company specializing in energy-efficient decorative lighting is giving away free energy efficient decorative lighting for Earth Day. Beginning at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, April 22, 2008, HolidayLEDs.com will give away 100 sets of LED icicle lights and 10 sets of green LED rope light.
“We like to give stuff away—its fun for us and it gives people an opportunity to try out LED decorative lighting,” said Philip C. Curtis, owner of HolidayLEDs.com. “LED lighting is really the best solution in energy efficient lighting and we hope people will make an effort on Earth Day to find more sustainable solutions for their lighting,” Curtis added. LED lighting solutions typically use between 80-90% less energy than traditional incandescent lighting, contain no toxic components, and will last for a very long time.
HolidayLEDs.com will give away 100 sets of LED icicle lights to the first 100 people to sign up for the give away. Every 10th participant will also receive a 12' section of green LED rope light. Submissions will be accepted beginning at 8 a.m. EST on Earth Day. All entries must be placed through HolidayLEDs.com website at http://www.holidayleds.com/. Phone submissions will be accepted from people with disabilities or who do not have access to a computer.
In addition to the LED light giveaway, HolidayLEDs.com is still accepting old incandescent lighting for its Christmas light recycling program. The company is encouraging interested participants to utilize group collections and bulk mailings to minimize the financial and environmental cost of shipping.
In addition to the free light give-away, HolidayLEDs.com will have an Earth Day Sale on its full product line. All items will be 25% off and will ship for only $4.99.
