Narconon Visited by Local Minister

Attends Seminar on Drug Intervention

A local Minister who wanted information on drug education visited Narconon Drug Rehab in GA. He attended a seminar given by Narconon staff, and was suitably impressed.

“I was a drug addict, but by the Grace of God, I started to participate in a group in my church 12 years ago, and have since become the lead facilitator for that group,” he stated. “We do addiction recovery, co-dependency recovery, and we have another group which is our youth drug prevention group.”

After hearing about the Narconon Drug Education Seminar, he and 13 other facilitators decided to attend the class to see what they could use in their community.

He commented “There are great resources here at Narconon. We are hoping to do this again. The class as super informative; the focus was on family intervention. This training was well worth it, and I say lets get on the forefront in taking out this giant. It is our time to lead."

One point brought home by the attendees is how communities have become passive to the drug problem, and many attending decided to start taking proactive steps to stop drug dealers and get drugs out of their community.

Gordy Weinand, Public Relations for Narconon Drug Rehab in GA, stated, “It is good for community and church leaders to take a hard look at how drugs are affecting their community and church members. Prevention is the key, and if we all work together we can have a safe world for our children and grandchildren.”

Narconon Drug Rehab in GA offers free drug education seminars to church groups, children’s groups, and community centers.
