Eighth-Grader Accused of Planting Peanut Butter Cookie Crumbs in Lunchbox of Classmate with Severe Allergies

A Lexington, Kentucky eighth-grader has been accused of planting peanut butter cookie crumbs in the lunchbox of a fellow classmate who has severe allergies to peanuts.

According to Fayette County schools spokeswoman Lisa Deffendall it had been well known among the students at Morton Middle School that the 13-year-old girl suffered dangerous allergies related to peanuts yet a student deliberately placed the crumbs in the girl’s lunchbox.

That student was arrested on felony wanton endangerment charges and will now have to answer to those charges in juvenile court.
