Robert Plant and Alison Krauss in Amsterdam on May 14 for Show at Heineken Music Hall

Robert Plant and Alison Krauss launched their tour April 19 with a show in Louisville, Kentucky and the pair will play another show at the Louisville Palace Theatre on the 20 before hitting several more cities in the United States and then its off to Europe where they will eventually find their way to Amsterdam for a show at the Heineken Music Hall on May 14.

 

Plant and Krauss will be at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival on April 25 and then take their act to Birmingham, Alabama the next day before attacking Europe. They will perform in Birmingham, England on May 5, Manchester on May 7, Cardiff on May 8, Dusseldorf, Germany on May 10, Brussels, Belgium on May 11, and Paris, France May 13 before hitting Amsetrdam.

 

After a series of shows in Europe the two will have another run of shows in the States, beginning with a stop in Roanoke, Virginia June 2.

 

Plant and Krauss announced they would be touring to support their Raising Sand album that was released on October 23, 2007. The album debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart and was ranked #24 by Rolling Stone in their Top 50 Albums of 2007.

 

While Plant and Krauss are expected to play several of the songs off Raising Sand they will also perform many of their own singles from their catalog.

 

There has been a lot of speculation surrounding a potential Led Zeppelin reunion tour following the incredibly successful show they put on in December at the O2 Arena in London but the likelihood of that happening remains slim.
