Born in Oxfordshire, England, the alternative rock band Radiohead has sold over 23 million records since the release of Pablo Honey in 1993.  Consisting of Thom Yorke (lead vocals, rhythm guitar, piano, electronics), Jonny Greenwood (lead guitar, other instruments), Ed O’Brien (guitar, backing vocals), Colin Greenwood (bass guitar, synthesizers) and Phil Selway (drums, percussion).

Although the initial release of their debut album, Pablo Honey and their first single “Creep”, released in 1992 was unsuccessful, “Creep” became a global hit when the band reissued the single a year later.  The band’s popularity later increased in the United Kingdom with the release of their second album, The Bends in 1995.

Other Radiohead albums include OK Computer (1997), Kid A (2000), Amnesiac (2001), Hail to the Thief (2003) and In Rainbows (2007).

Radiohead left EMI, their record label before releasing In Rainbows in 2007.  The album was released through their website and sold via digital download.  Customers were able to download music after setting their own price.
