Pearl Jam will be performing live at the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, New Jersey on Thursday, June 20 at 7:30 pm.  The band will perform next at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC on Saturday, June 22.

Born in Seattle, Washington in 1990, Pearl Jam is one of the key bands of the grunge movement in the early 1990s, although it was accused of being a corporate cash in on the alternative rock explosion.

Comprised of Eddie Vedder (lead vocals, guitar), Jeff Ament (bass guitar), Stone Gossard (rhythm guitar), Mike McCready (lead guiter) and Matt Cameron, formerly of Soundgarden, the band joined together after the fall out of Ament and Gossard’s previous band, Mother Love Bone.

Since the release of its debut album, Ten, the band has sold 30 million records in the United States and about 60 million albums around the world.  Although the band has survived longer than many of its contemporaries, Rolling Stone Magazine described the group as having “spent much of the past decade deliberately tearing apart their fame.”  The band refused to adhere to traditional music industry practices by refusing to produce music videos in addition to boycotting Ticketmaster.
