14-Year-Old Girl Attacked by Shark off Florida Coast

A 14-year-old girl from New Smyrna Beach, Florida was attacked by a shark while surfing Sunday morning in the Ponce de Leon Inlet.

The shark bit the teen’s foot and left cuts and puncture wounds but she managed to get back to shore before the shark could do any more damage. She was treated on the beach and then transported to a nearby hospital.
