Kanye West and Alexis Phifer broke off their engagement this past weekend, according to usmagazine.com.
"Kanye is possessed by the tour and everything going on and just couldn't keep it going," said a source told Us Magazine interview. "They are still friends and have broken up and gotten back together before, so it could work out."
According to the source, West and Phifer are still friends and have broken up before, so there is a possibility that they will be back together.
West, 30, proposed to Phifer in 2006 while on vacation in Italy.
The couple had been dating since 2002, but split briefly in 2004 when West briefly hooked up with Brooke Crittendon, an assistant at MTV, a source told Us Weekly. Crittendon accompanied West to the Grammys while they were dating.
The "Glow in the Dark" tour, which features West, Rihanna, Lupe Fiasco and N.E.R.D., began April 16 and will end on May 16. The concert schedule will take West across the country, including Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Houston on May 2 to Madison Square Garden in New York on May 13.
