4Offsets Seeks to Offset 1 Million Websites with $100,000 Sweepstakes

4Offsets, LLC celebrates Earth Day 2008 by announcing the launch of its “Win $100,000 4Offsetting Your Web Page for $1” sweepstakes.  The sweepstakes is coupled with a campaign to offset 1 million websites and homepages during the year that begins Earth Day, April 22, 2008.  The company estimates that shared hosting for 1 million web sites, blogs or homepages require nearly 8000 pc style servers which generate over 30 millions of pounds of CO2 each year, the equivalent of removing several thousand cars from the road.
