By the time the final votes are counted on Tuesday evening the Democratic Party may have a clear nominee for the general election or they may be turning their attention to the next battleground states of Indiana and North Carolina.
Barack Obama has seemingly conceded that Hillary Clinton will take the Pennsylvania win but many have said if the Illinois senator could stay within five percent of Clinton it would be considered a win for him. Many analysts have said Clinton would need a double-digit win in Pennsylvania to keep her campaign alive.
A win in Pennsylvania would add yet another big state to the Clinton count as the New York senator has already taken California, Ohio, Texas, and New Hampshire. It is her ability to take the big states that has led many to believe Clinton would be the best Democrat to face off against Republican nominee John McCain in the general election.
Obama currently holds a 1,415-1,251 pledged delegates lead in the Democratic race to the Democratic National Convention. Clinton holds a narrow 258-233 in super-delegates.
