A group of tourists from Louisiana are stuck on Palmyra Island after their plane had engine problems. The group has been stranded on the island, which is one of the most remote islands in the Pacific Ocean, since Saturday.
According to reports, no one is in danger as there is electricity, food and water on the island. Rescue workers are attempting to use a special modified plane to rescue the tourists.
Palmyra Island was discovered in 1978. The island is now owned by the Nature Conservancy of Hawaii. Palmyra is located about 1,000 miles southwest of Hawaii.
