Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) won the Pennsylvania Democratic primary Wednesday night, closing in on the delegate count advantage by Sen. Barack Obama.
Clinton won 55 percent of the popular vote in the Pennsylvania primary, while Obama won 45 percent. Clinton has earned 78 delegates from Pennsylvania, while Obama has got 63 delegates. However, Obama still have a significant lead in the delegate count.
Currently, Obama has total count of 1,713 delegates, which include his 1,479 pledged delegates and 234 superdelegates.
Clinton has total 1,586 delegates, which include her 1,328 pledged delegates and 258 superdelegates.
In order to win the Democratic nomination, Clinton would have to win close to 500 delegates to erase Obama's advantage, which is about 68 percent.
The next two primaries, Indiana and North Carolina, offer a combined 187 delegates.
