New Jersey Employment Law Firm Costello & Mains, P.C. Hires Two New Associates

New Jersey employment law firm Costello & Mains, P.C. is pleased to announce the addition of two new labor law attorneys, Jeanne Ketcha Chestnut and Dan Silverman. These two new associates will work alongside partners Kevin Costello and Deborah Mains to prepare all litigation matters for trial and will begin trying their own cases in 2011. Both attorneys will concentrate their practices exclusively on employment and civil rights.

"We're happy to have them," says Deborah Mains. "We've needed to grow our firm and add talent, but we needed to find just the right people, which we believe we now have."

After receiving her J.D. from Seton Hall in 2006, Ms. Chestnut served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable James P. Hurley of the New Jersey Superior Court in Middlesex County. After completing her clerkship, she handled insurance-related litigation at a law firm in the Edison area. Most recently, she worked as an associate at an Iselin law firm, focusing her practice on labor law and employee benefits law. Ms. Chestnut represented union clients and benefit funds in administrative proceedings, grievance arbitration and federal and state court proceedings. Furthermore, she offered counseling to union members on labor law issues including but not limited to the following: sexual harassment, workplace discrimination, wrongful termination, whistleblower laws and employee handbooks.

Like Ms. Chestnut, Mr. Silverman also gained experience in the legal field before joining New Jersey employee rights law firm Costello & Mains, P.C. After receiving his J.D. in 2008 from the Rutgers-Camden School of Law, he served as a clerk for the Honorable John E. Harrington, J.S.C. in Burlington County. Mr. Silverman also practiced insurance law at a Philadelphia law firm, concentrating his practice on fraudulent insurance claims.
