A New Jersey Real estate broker turns slow real estate market into her dream career: REGINE DUBONO, of Essex County, New Jersey, spends idle office time publishing her life’s work.

With the help of Lulu.com, the world fastest growing POD and through Bestsellersbook.com, Dubono has self published five books since 2005. One romance novel, (Youths Hotels,) Two books of short stories (BITCHIE MAMA,) and (HEARTS AND SOULS 1 & 2), A book about Alzheimer (MAMA BELLISSIMA,) A book of screen-plays, (BOLD SOLDIER, Nickel,) a memoir on art and mental illness titled (SLEEPING BEAUTY ISN’T A FAIRY TALE,) and she helped publish the diary of an adolescent with mental illness, (DESIREE, A Midsummer Night’s Dream-Medley.)

Supported by a multi-academic background, Dubono led a multi-professional career. From Chemist, (Hoffmann La Roche, Apollo, and Schering Pharmaceuticals,) to Head Start Teacher (Passaic County Anti Poverty Program) to Head hunter, to Play Therapist (Newark Beth Israel Medical Center) to Curator (Broadway Galleries) to Actress(Off- Off Broadway) and finally to Real Estate Broker. She received French Baccalaureates in Literature, Philosophy, Mathematics and Science. (in Nice, France) Having embraced both art and science served her well in writing books that merge science and art in a progressive and distinctive prose.

A protégée of the late Dr. Peter and Mrs. Sylvia Sammartino, Dubono traded her scholarship to study les Belles letters at La Sorbonnes in Paris, for an opportunity to study Chemistry at Fairleigh Dickinson University (Rutherford NJ.) She was also a candidate for the MBA program.

Dubono writes intriguing, suspenseful romance (short stories) suitable for adolescent girls, and women young and old. In addition she writes memoirs about mental illness and Alzheimer disease (which affect so many older Americans nowadays) and relating some of the experience of family members or/and caregivers. She hopes her books will provide the catharsis that often comes from experiencing events vicariously through other (fictitious or real) characters, from which as the Greek claimed, they may come out ”cleansed.”

To help understand her books, Dubono has created separate study guides, which are available for teachers. She may be reached at Reginedubono@yahoo.com Bestsellersbook@optonline.net. For free excerpts go to www.Lulu.com/reginedubonobook.
Dubono is a member of NAR, GSMLS, ACS (American Chemical Society), NAMI, and ARTMh (Art is For Mental Health.)
Dubono has won many contests and received reviews from Writers Digest in particular, which confirmed her belief that she was a voice for her time and that other women would benefit from reading her books.

In brief, Regine Dubono’s books deal with current concerns and contemporary social themes. They benefit the readers by expanding their horizons thus enabling them to find solutions to unmet common human needs.
The books are invigorating in their uniquely refreshing candid style, and effective in their raw power.
Regine Dubono puts troubled characters in difficult situation, yet her books miraculously offer hope, and a vision of life as essentially good.
