Summer Camps Are Filling Up Fast

SuperCamp's academic summer camps are nearing capacity as summer approaches, reflecting the summer program's popularity among returning campers and its 26-year legacy of helping students improve grades, confidence and motivation

Academic summer camp owner, Bobbi DePorter, is telling parents that now is the time to enroll their son or daughter in SuperCamp, before it’s too late.

“Last year we started the summer with 200 students on waiting lists, unable to get into the SuperCamp of their choice,” said DePorter. “This year, we see the same thing happening, as most camps are nearing capacity.”

SuperCamp operates camps at eight locations across the U.S. at colleges such as Stanford and Cornell and four age-specific programs for students from 4th grade to college. However, some programs, specifically Youth Forum for boys and girls entering grades 4 and 5 in the fall and Quantum U for incoming college students, are available in just one location and have limited enrollment.

The popularity of SuperCamp has exploded in recent years due to the program’s success at raising students’ grades, confidence and motivation. In addition, with budget and staff cuts in education in many states, parents are looking to summer enrichment programs such as SuperCamp to help give their children a competitive edge when it comes to applying to and getting into the best colleges.

SuperCamp has an extraordinary track record. Many students enrolling in SuperCamp in recent years are second-generation SuperCamp campers. Students now come from all 50 states and around the world to attend one of SuperCamp’s summer programs in the U.S.

SuperCamp’s highly-trained staff comprised primarily of full-time teachers, full-time Quantum Learning facilitators, and college students majoring in education, are an incredibly animated, engaging and fun group of people.

Campers are often taken aback initially by the high energy level of the SuperCamp staff, along with the music, hand clapping, singing, jumping, dancing and everything else that accompanies the interactive and multi-sensory experience that is SuperCamp. But within a day, if not hours, campers are on board, participating and enjoying this very non-school experience.

Upon graduating from SuperCamp, many campers undergo an amazing transformation. The transformation can encompass attitude, confidence, study habits, motivation, communication and grades. It’s astounding that 10 short days can make such a profound impact on a camper’s life, but it happens every year.
