Two ministers from local churches are taking the spiritual - as well as the physical - well-being of their parishioners seriously. They are training to be drug addiction specialists at Narconon Drug Rehab in GA.
“We have a growing problem of drug addiction and drug abuse in our area,” commented one. “Without the tools being taught at Narconon Drug Rehab in Georgia, we don’t know what to do with someone addicted to alcohol or hard drugs.”
One travelled from Savannah, Georgia to get trained on the Narconon First Step Program. “First Step is a method of withdrawing a person off of drugs and feeling well,” States Gordy Weinand, Public Relations for Narconon Drug Rehab in Georgia. “If someone is physically withdrawing from a drug, they are in extreme discomfort. The only solution they see is taking some more of the drug. This, of course, only leads to the person continuing the cycle of addiction. They don’t realize that withdrawal from drugs doesn’t have to be painful.”
Following the successful Narconon Drug Education Seminar given last month, other church facilitators have contacted Narconon for help. “I can fill someone with the Holy Spirit, but if the vessel is broken, it flows out again,” commented another preacher. “If we can get tools to help fix the vessel, we can then save them.”
Narconon Drug Rehab in GA offers free drug education seminars to church groups, children’s groups, and community centers.
