LeBron James to Join Miami Heat
King James Names His Next Team
After weeks of speculation, LeBron James announced on Thursday night that he will be joining the Miami Heat. During a one-hour ESPN special called "The Decision," James made the highly anticipated announcement in between answering questions regarding the reasons behind his decision. James explained that while the decision to leave Cleveland was very hard for him, he felt that he would be most happy with the Heat, with whom he expects that he can win multiple championships. That is not a far-fetched expectation, considering that he will be playing alongside both Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, who recently announced that they intend to play for Miami as well. According to James, the numbers have not been finalized on his contract, but he did explain that both he and Wade will definitely be earning less in order to play on the same team. But that doesn't seem to be too much a concern to King James, who explained that "winning is a huge thing for me." And with Wade and Bosh on his team, winning is what James can expect.
