The partially mummified body of an 80-year old woman was found on the floor of the Detroit home she shared with her mentally troubled sister.
Detroit police were called to the home Wednesday where they found the body of the woman partially covered with newspapers. It is believed she had been dead for one to three years. Signs indicated the body had been partially eaten by a cat and dog found in the home.
Authorities removed the surviving sister and took her to a local crisis center. The woman, who is also in her 80s, appeared to suffer from mental problems.
