May 2010 NAATP conference ushered in new era for drug rehabs

Debut of new drug rehab model at May 2010 NAATP Conference

Always an innovator in the field of addiction treatment, Mountainside Drug Rehab and Alcohol Treatment Center in Canaan, CT has shown once again why alcohol and drug rehab treatment professionals consider them to be the pioneers in drug addiction treatment.

Each year, the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers hosts a conference in order to give further voice to the drug abuse problem afflicting millions of individuals worldwide. In addition, it allows those within the field an opportunity to network as well as showcase current and new innovations within the field of addiction treatment. In May 2010, at the annual NAATP Conference , Mountainside, pioneers of
holistic drug rehab, showcased their newest treatment modality, the Integrated Care Model™.

“The treatment model that we debuted at the NAATP conference this year was something that’s been in the works since the beginning of our program,” began a spokesperson for Mountainside Drug Rehab and Alcohol Treatment Center. “We believe that the only way to stay on the cutting-edge within any field is to innovate - that is, to take evidence-based treatment modalities and improve upon them. The result has not been something unrecognizable. Rather, it’s something that Mountainside has been known for in its twelve years of operating - continually adding innovative treatment modalities and building upon its current modalities, such as its holistic drug rehab model that has been so successful. The new treatment model is then enthusiastically and widely received. Our new Integrated Care Model™ is already being looked upon as a successful and welcomed innovation in alcohol and drug rehab treatment.”

For more than 12 years, Mountainside
Drug Rehab and Alcohol Treatment Center has led the way in offering an individualized alcohol and drug addiction treatment program.

Mountainside’s treatment team is committed to providing quality, compassionate care to each individual in a tranquil, peaceful environment conducive to optimal recovery. The program won national attention and resulted in Mountainside being invited to Washington to meet with the White House Drug Czar, John P. Walters, who wanted to learn more about the innovative program offered at Mountainside.

In addition to its licensed and certified counselors and social workers, Mountainside provides medical services through an on-staff Nurse Practitioner and a Registered Nurse with specializations in drug addiction and alcohol treatment. Psychiatric services are available when needed.
