1 Dead in Solana Beach Shark Attack
The 55 to 60-year-old man was taken to a nearby lifeguard station where he was pronounced dead.
A 17 mile stretch of the beach was closed as authorities used helicopters to look for the shark. “The shark is still in the area. We’re sure of that,” says Solana Beach Mayor Joe Kellejian.
