Jose Sbatella, the head of Argentina’s financial information unit, has a sought a probe into the share sales by Grupo Clarin SA, Banco Patagonia SA and Consultatio SA after receiving testimony from former JP Morgan employee Hernan Arbizu.

Intel (NASDAQ: INTC), the American semi-conductor chip giant, is said to be close to buying German semi conductor company Infineon Technologies AG for about $1.4 billion. Both the companies have met several times over past few weeks, though a contract has not yet been signed.
