Series of Earthquakes Rattle Reno for Second Straight Day

Reno, Nevada was jarred by a 4.7-magnitude earthquake late Friday night, the second sizeable temblor to hit the area in as many days.

Friday’s earthquake was centered in the town of Mogul, about six miles west of Reno and caused little damage other than knocking items off shelves and dropping pictures off walls.

On Thursday the U.S. Geological Survey registered more than 100 earthquakes in the area but none of those produced any significant damage.
