Church Floor Collapses During Christian Rock Concert, at least 39 Injured

Nearly 1,000 teens in Abbotsford, British Columbia packed the Central Heights Church on Friday night to hear the Christian rock band Starfield but the concert can to an abrupt halt when a 22-foot section of the floor caved in and sent a number of those in attendance crashing down onto the floor of the basement.

At least 39 people were reported to be injured with a handful of those suffering serious injuries.

Police and emergency units arrived at the Central Heights Church shortly after the accident and transported victims to several hospitals in the area.
