Sistermonk Celebrates Dalai lama's historic visit to Seattle
Sistermonk has just released a video “Never Give up” with lyrics by HH The Dalai Lama. “Never Give Up” is also the title track for Sistermonk’s album slated for release May 1st, and embodies Sistermonk’s unique standing in a heretofore unexplored genre, “Buddhist rock” Like wood burning transformed wholly into ash, each of Sistermonk’s songs engages the listeners’ whole mind and body…as in a prayer. The albums first song “Stop Being Afraid” commits the listener to shedding layer upon layer of body armor, and to accept that the reality we, as a culture, are collectively fleeing, is a realm of simple truth beyond fear. Sistemonks’ Hit single “Ledge” admits to the chaos and desperation of modern life and recognizes that the breakthrough of acceptance is as simple as softening our stance.
