Leonard Cohen will be hitting Manchester, England on June 17 for a run of four shows at the Opera House Manchester.
Cohen will be starting of his tour with a May 11 date in Fredericton, New Brunswick at the Fredericton Playhouse. Cohen will then spend the remainder of the month in Canada with stops including Halifax and Toronto. He will then travel to Dublin, Ireland for three shows at the Irish Museum of Modern Art beginning June 13. Cohen will then travel to Manchester for the four shows scheduled June 17, 18, 19, 20.
Cohen has been inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame as well as the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame. The 73-year-old is also an inductee n the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Cohen was recently honored with a Grammy Award as a featured artist on Herbie Hancock’s River: The Joni Letters.
It has been nearly four years since Cohen released his 11th studio album, Dear Heather, yet he remains one of the most influential artists to date.
Among the stops on the Leonard Cohen world tour will be the UK, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, France, Belgium and Portugal.
