Boralex Inc (TSE:BLX) to Release Q1 2008 Earnings May 12

Boralex Inc (TSE:BLX) will release the first quarter earnings for 2008 on Monday, May 12.  A conference call will be held at 9:00 am Monday morning to discuss the financial results. Boralex Inc. is a private electricity producer whose core business is the development and operation of power stations that run on renewable energy. It owns and operates 21 generations sites with a combined total installed capacity of 351 megawatts.

Boralex operates seven wind farms, including 68 wind generators, with a total installed capacity of 108 megawatts. In addition, it is developing major wind power projects in Canada, including one in Ontario with a potential capacity of 90 megawatts, and three in Quebec with a total potential capacity of 375 megawatts. It owns seven hydroelectric power stations, of which five are in the United States and two in Quebec, with a total installed capacity of 25 megawatts. It operates seven thermal power stations, with a total installed capacity of 218 megawatts.

The company is the largest producer in North America of green wood-residue energy, with six thermal power stations located in the United States with a combined installed capacity of 204 megawatts.
