British rockers Coldplay have a treat in store for fans. Beginning Tuesday, fans who visit their website will be able to download the first single from their new album for free.
The song, entitled Violet Hill, becomes available at 7:15 a.m. ET at http://www.coldplay.com and will be available as a free download for one week.
Coldplay fans will be treated to the single a full week before their new album, Viva La Vida, goes on sale at digital retail sites.

Coldplay is comprised of vocalist/pianist/guitarist Chris Martin, lead guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman and drummer Will Champion. The group is best know for songs "Speed of Sound" and the Grammy-award winning "Clocks."
