Stephanie Ragusa, Tampa Middle School Teacher, Arrested for Third Time on Sex with Minor Charges
For the third time in just over a month Stephanie Ragusa has found herself behind bars, charged with having sex with a minor. Ragusa had been out on bail when she was caught by police at the home of one of the boys she had a relationship with.
According to police Ragusa had gone to the boy’s house to talk about her impending trial but the discussion ended up with the pair in bed. When Ragusa left the house the officers nabbed the 29-year-old and placed her back in jail.
Ragusa had been a teacher at Davidsen Middle School in Tampa when she began a relationship with a 14-year-old student in January 2007. Ragusa began a second relationship with another student, this one 15-years-old, in February of 2007.
Police arrested Ragusa March 13, 2008 and charged her with having sex with a minor. After she posted bail she was re-arrested on April 15 when police learned of her second relationship. She now remains behind bars following Monday’s arrest and she is scheduled to make an appearance in court Tuesday.
