Dr. Aribert Heim, who would be 93 if he is still alive, is at the top of the most wanted list for performing cruel experiments on his Jewish patients at the Mauthausen concentration camp. Karl Lotter, a non-Jewish political prisoner who worked at the Mauthausen hospital, was a witness to many of Heim’s crimes.
Lotter says he remembers the first time he seen Heim kill a patient. He is able to describe how an 18-year-old Jewish boy came to the hospital to be treated for a foot inflammation. Heim put the boy to sleep, but didn’t treat his foot. Instead, he castrated him, took apart one of his kidneys, removed the other, and cut off his head.
Lotter said the victims flesh was boiled off his head so Heim could display it. “He needed the head because of its perfect teeth,” he explained.
Heim disappeared in 1962 before his prosecution. His whereabouts are still unknown. A $485,000 reward has been offered for Heim’s arrest.
