Matthew Modine used the "n-word" in a conversation about Rev. Jeremiah Wright on The Bill O'Reilly Show Tuesday night.
Rev. Wright held a press conference at the National Press Club on Monday, defending his previous controversial comments.
O'Reilly asked Modine what were his thoughts about Rev. Wright. Modine replied by saying that he "thinks of [Rev. Wright] as an older generation, an older American similarly like John McCain"
"The things that he accomplished as an American war hero," continued Modine. "He's an older man. Like my father used to say 'an uppity n*****'. Those kind of things that older generation would say about things."
"I feel like Rev. Wright is just of that older generation," said Modine. "I don't think that he represents the America that we enjoy today."
Modine was on the Fox News show, talking about liberalism, a brand new website (cardcarryingliberal.com) and card associated with the site.
